Timberland 6 Inch Boot: The Timberland 6 Inch Boot is the waterproof lace-up boot that became the brand's icon. In the Wheat colorway, many know it as the Yellow Boot. The name refers to the shaft height: 6 inches, so around 15 centimeters.
From the 8 Inch to the 6 Inch
In 1973 Timberland released its first waterproof leather boot, back then still 8 inches high. This was made possible by an injection-molded sole and impregnated nubuck leather. Three years later came the shorter 6 Inch. It was built for working outdoors, but today you wear it just as easily with streetwear as with workwear.
Premium or Heritage: the difference
The Premium 6 Inch is the classic version: the upper is waterproof Premium Timberland® leather, the seams are sealed, plus it has a padded collar and the lug sole. In the men's and women's versions it is additionally insulated with PrimaLoft®. The Heritage 6 Inch for men takes the same silhouette in its own colors and finishes and is likewise waterproof.
Fit and size
