Alohas: Spanish shoes made to order
ALOHAS is a Spanish footwear brand founded in 2015 by Alejandro Porras and based in Barcelona. The Hawaiian-sounding name has a real origin: the idea came about during a stay in Honolulu, when Porras noticed how strongly people there responded to his Avarcas, the traditional sandals of the Balearic island of Menorca. From that observation grew a brand that combines Mediterranean simplicity with an unusual production model.
The on-demand principle explained
ALOHAS only produces once an order has been placed. A new model launches as an on-demand item, the brand measures actual demand for around two weeks, and production then takes about five weeks. Anyone who pre-orders in the brand's own shop therefore waits roughly two months for their pair and pays less for it. This reverses the usual logic: a model is cheapest at the start and costs the full price later on. The point behind it is to avoid producing goods that no one buys in the first place.
With us it's the other way around: We keep selected models in stock in our warehouse and in our shop in Cologne. So you get your pair straight away, with no pre-order and no waiting time, and you can try it on here.
Where Alohas shoes are made
The models are designed in Barcelona. Depending on the model, they are manufactured in various countries, according to Alohas's product data predominantly in Spain and Portugal, with some models also made in China and Cambodia. For its leather lines, ALOHAS uses leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group, alongside models made from plant-based alternatives using cactus, corn or apple, as well as recycled components in soles and linings.
Alohas sneakers and loafers at Coziness
The best-known Alohas sneaker is the TB.490, a retro trainer made of leather that we carry in several versions: the Club variant in Dark Chocolate in brushed leather and in Burgundy, the Rife in Taupe and in Shimmer Silver Cream, and the Crochet in Cream. Added to these are the TB.24 in Suede Burgundy, the TB.304 in Nylon Brown and the TB.56 in Suede Brown.
On the more elegant side are the loafers: the Aven in smooth black leather, in brown suede and in Burgundy, as well as the Rivet with a vintage effect in Burgundy. Loafers in brown suede and in Burgundy are currently the most obvious choice for anyone looking for an understated shoe that works equally well with jeans and tailored trousers.

All the models available here are in our concept store in central Cologne. Especially with loafers and leather sneakers it's worth trying them on, because suede and smooth leather feel different and break in differently over time.
