True Religion
True Religion: True Religion is a denim brand from Los Angeles, founded in 2002. You can recognize it by the bold Super-T stitching and the horseshoe on the back pockets. Today the range also includes shorts, jackets, shirts and hoodies.
The idea behind the brand
True Religion set out to rebuild the classic five-pocket jean from scratch. To do this, the brand says it took the jean apart into its individual pieces and modified conventional sewing machines. The result: jeans with oversized stitching, their own washes and eye-catching back pockets. The designs are created in the USA and manufactured at locations around the world.
True Religion at Coziness
With us you'll find women's jeans in three fits: the Becca with a bootcut, the Bobbi with a wide leg and the Joey with a flare. There are also shorts in the Mikey cut, the Super Baggy fit for men. Which cut suits you and how the sizes run is explained over at the True Religion Jeans.
How to recognize True Religion
- Super-T stitching: sewn with five needles and only two stitches per inch, which gives the bold look
- Horseshoe: the U-shaped stitching on the back pockets, inspired according to the brand by the smile of a Buddha
- Logo: a smiling Buddha playing the guitar
- Flap: on many models the horseshoe sits on a flap over the back pocket
- Names instead of numbers: each fit carries a first name, such as Becca, Bobbi and Joey for women or Ricky, Bobby and Mikey for men
