Clarks Originals

The story of Clarks begins in 1825 in Street, Somerset, with the brothers Cyrus and James Clark. Clarks Originals goes back to the Desert Boot of 1950, which Clarks itself calls the original of the Originals. In 1968 the Wallabee followed. It found its fans in the dancehalls of Jamaica, on British football terraces, in hip-hop and in Britpop.

At the centre is the Clarks Wallabee: as the Original, as the light Wallabee Lite and as the Wallabee Loafer without laces. Meare Walla, Meare Mocc, Meare Eve and Meare Mule stand on a light EVA sole with a crepe edge. The Clarks Yukoner Penny combines the moccasin stitch with the shape of a Penny Loafer. For women there is also the Tor Low, a flat sneaker on a crepe sole. In addition there are elegant loafers from Clarks such as Craft James Lo and Straven2.

Clarks Originals is the line of the British shoemaker Clarks for its classics: the Desert Boot of 1950, the Wallabee of 1968 and models that build on them. Typical features are crepe soles or crepe edges and hand-sewn moccasin stitching.
