PUMA x A$AP Rocky: Motorsport DNA meets Harlem Street Innovation
With A$AP Rocky as the new creative director for PUMA's Formula 1 partnership, motorsport performance gets a street upgrade; the collection blends racing tech, '90s sneaker archives, and Rocky's "Ghetto Futurism" aesthetic in limited-edition drops that electrify fans from Mostro to Inhale OG.
Partnership & Creative Direction
F1 Appointment: Rocky becomes Creative Director
PUMA appointed A$AP Rocky as Creative Director of the global Formula 1 category in October 2023 – a first for the rapper and the brand.
His debut took place at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where he unveiled a pop-up boutique and the first motorsport capsule.
Design philosophy: “Ghetto Futurism” meets racing heritage
Rocky describes the line as a fusion of “Ghetto Expressionism” and futuristic F1 elements, such as heat map prints or removable protective panels.
Streetwear silhouettes are reinterpreted with seatbelts, oil-stained washes and balaclava designs.
