"Hubris" by Marc Tölle

In August, we are delighted to welcome Marc Tölle with his exhibition "Hybris"!
Marc Tölle has worked internationally as a freelance art director for advertising agencies for over 30 years. Since 2019, he has dedicated himself to fine art, bringing unhappiness or disaster to the canvas with his critique of consumerism and a good dose of humor. He quickly reveals the aesthetics of misfortune and exposes the arrogance of the viewer who enjoys a colorful painting that ultimately depicts a catastrophe.
"It's nothing new," Marc Tölle notes, "after all, a large part of the film industry makes millions depicting catastrophes, and Caravaggio already depicted a beheading in a fascinating way in 1608."
