PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Gramicci Mohair Burly Runningman Beanie in Chartreuse: The Gramicci Mohair Burly Runningman Beanie combines the outdoor heritage of the American climbing brand with a striking camouflage pattern in rich green tones. Gramicci has stood for functional clothing with a casual everyday character since the 1980s, and this beanie consistently carries this DNA forward.

Design & Origin
The distinctive camouflage pattern in various green tones gives the beanie an independent character that oscillates between outdoor aesthetics and urban streetwear. The wide folded cuff is a classic detail that is convincing both functionally and in terms of design. The Running Man logo is an integral part of the Gramicci identity and represents the brand's active, nature-connected attitude.

Material & Construction
• Mohair (12 %) for a light sheen and a soft surface texture
• Wool (20 %) for natural warmth and shape retention
• Nylon (29 %) for durability and longevity
• Acrylic (39 %) for easy-care properties and even color reproduction
• Knitted construction with a textured surface

Fit
The beanie is available in one size and adapts to various head shapes thanks to its knitted construction. The folded cuff can be rolled up or worn flat as desired, thereby also influencing the depth of the fit.

Use
The chartreuse color scheme makes this beanie a visible accessory for the colder season. It works both for outdoor activities and in urban everyday life. The unisex cut makes it suitable for all wearers.

The Gramicci Mohair Burly Runningman Beanie in Chartreuse is a thoughtfully crafted piece of headwear with a clear brand reference and striking coloring. Available at Coziness online and in the concept store in Cologne.

The Story of Gramicci: From Yosemite Valley to the Streets of Tokyo

Gramicci is a brand that proves that the best designs often emerge from practical necessity.
Founded in 1982 by Mike Graham in his garage in Ventura, California, the brand's roots are deeply embedded in American climbing culture.

The Stonemasters and the Invention of the G Pants

In the 1970s, a group of young, free-spirited climbers known as the Stonemasters had settled in Yosemite National Park.
They revolutionized climbing with a focus on speed and style, coining the term "free climbing." Mike Graham, a member of the Stonemasters, was bothered by the uncomfortable clothing worn for climbing at the time.
So he designed his own shorts: with a diamond-shaped gusseted crotch, inspired by Kung Fu pants, for full 180-degree freedom of movement.
An integrated nylon belt that could be adjusted with one hand was also added.
These innovations fundamentally changed outdoor apparel.

The name Gramicci comes from a nickname Graham received when the Stonemasters attempted the first "purely Italian" ascent of the legendary Half Dome.
Although none of them were Italian, they gave themselves Italian-sounding names.
Graham became Gramicci.

From the Climbing Scene to Streetwear Icon

The same features that made Gramicci's pants indispensable on the rock face – durability, freedom of movement, relaxed fit – also appealed to surfers and skaters.
In the early 1990s, Gramicci became a cult brand in the burgeoning streetwear scene.
In parallel, the brand conquered Japan, where functional clothing with a history has always been appreciated.
Today, Gramicci is further developed by a Japanese design team, combining its Californian climbing heritage with contemporary silhouettes.
Collaborations with Stüssy, nonnative, mastermind JAPAN, and Deus Ex Machina underscore its cultural relevance.
The Running Man, the hand-drawn logo of a climber, has become a symbol for clothing built for movement, no matter where.
